What We Believe

  • The Bible
The Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God which clearly reveals the love of God to the world through historical narrative. It consists of 66 books, written by 44 different authors. These writings were written in four different major languages. Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic and Ugaritic. 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15–17; John 3:16
  • The Trinity
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These persons of the Trinity function in perfect perichoresis, which means they are in complete and undivided union and at all times intimately connected. We reject subordinationism. One God. Three persons. Equal in essence and nature. These truths about our God will never change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4–6
  • The Deity of Christ
Our Lord Jesus is fully God and fully man. His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles and His atoning death, burial and resurrection have been thoroughly documented and confirmed as historically accurate and trustworthy. After His resurrection, He showed Himself to his disciples and over 500 witnesses as He established His church and commissioned them to make disciples throughout the world in every region of the earth. These believers were completely convinced He was and is the everlasting Son of God. He is God who became man. He is often referred to as the "second Adam," because He repaired mankind's relationship with God and restored mankind to pr-fall conditions. His shed blood on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His actual return in power and glory is irrefutable on earth and celebrated forevermore in heaven. Matthew 1:23; John 1:1–4, 29; Acts 1:11; 2:22–24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5–11; Hebrews 1:1–4; 4:15
  • The Gospel of Repentance
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is one of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. The lower case "gospel" of the world seeks to exclude this important facet of His message. Christ came to seek and save that which was lost. The salvation of lost and sinful man includes true repentance and is demonstrated by a brand of faith in Jesus Christ which results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore God will reward the righteous with eternal life in Heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in Hell. Luke 24:46–47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10–11; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8–9; Titus 3:4–7
  • The Grace of God Brings Salvation
It is only by the grace of God that anyone can come to repentance and receive forgiveness of sin. Titus 2:11 clearly states, "The grace of God which brings Salvation has come before all men. It (the grace) teaches us to say NO to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self controlled, upright and Godly lives in this day and age." The doctrine of Salvation forms the core of our Christian faith by proclaiming God’s victory over sin in our lives. This truth results in deliverances, healing, restoration and complete victory.
  • God Still Heals
Because of sin entering our world, the decay of our mortal bodies is inevitable. That's the bad news. The good news: "The wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of GOD is ETERNAL LIFE." It is vital in our day and age that the Church continue to proclaim God's power to heal, restore, regenerate, create, replace, regrow, refresh and renew our bodies on this side of heaven, as well as when we reach our expiration date. The greatest healing available happens when our names are written in the Lamb's book of life. The healing, complete restoration and glorification of our bodies is inevitable in light of eternity. God desires to see us healed now and forevermore, so that He may be glorified in all the earth.
  • The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
The ministry of The Son brings glory to The Father and the ever present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whom He sent, empowers all believers. The ministry of the Holy Spirit enables Christ followers to be His witnesses and to live a Godly life. The Holy Spirit also convicts the entire world with regard to sin and righteousness. We are all brought into the faith with ONE FAITH, ONE LORD, ONE BAPTISM. (Ephesians 4:5) Nevertheless, we do witness a distinction in our daily lives as Christ's followers. As each member of the Trinity is revealed to modern day believers, more than one baptism may occur. In this way, we experience each member of the Trinity intimately and wonderfully. The same was true for early believers. At pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon Christ's followers as they were praying together in the upper room. He revealed Himself through tongues of fire which rested upon their heads. They all began speaking in other tongues which they did not know. Men from other tribes and tongues began hearing them praising God in their native tongues. This is one beautiful and miraculous way in which the Lord operates through His people to proclaim the gospel. This was a beautiful sign which showed a reversal of what happened at the Tower of Babel. Those who were baptized under John, later placed their faith in Jesus and were eventually baptized in the power of the Holy Spirit when the apostles laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit and were overcome with boldness, spoke in new tongues, etc. In addition to this marvelous display, the Holy Spirit reveals Himself in many other ways which are described through the scriptures. These signs, wonders and miracles are listed throughout the book of Acts and the rest of the New Testament to fulfill the prophecies regarding the last days in which God would begin to pour out His Spirit on all flesh, so that average people would demonstrate the wonders of God. We seek the giver and not the gift but we eagerly desire the various spiritual gifts so that we may edify others in the body and so that all will be brought to full maturity in Christ. All of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in the scriptures are still functioning today. They are as follows: - Wisdom - Knowledge - Faith - Miracles - Discerning of Spirits - Speaking in Tongues - Interpretation of Tongues - Prophecy - Words of Knowledge - Healing Any sects of Christianity which seek to teach cessationism are sadly mistaken and need prayer for breakthrough to occur. Until the stronghold is broken, they should generally be avoided, for they may attain to a form of Godliness, but clearly deny His power. (2 Timothy 3:5) John 3:5–8; Acts 1:8; 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16–18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6–10
  • The Second Coming
With the world experiencing natural disasters, economic downturns and increasing uncertainties on many fronts, the doctrine of Christ’s Second Coming is more relevant than ever. Believers must rest in the certainty of the imminent return of our Lord and share this hope with others.
  • Heaven and Hell
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment. 1 Corinthians 15:51–57;Revelation 20:11–15
  • The Church
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the church. 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22–23
  • Evangelism
We believe that the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9–15; 1 Peter 3:15
  • Marriage
We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made for each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5–6; Mark 10:6–9; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9
  • Prayer
We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism. Matthew 9:35–38; 22:37–39; 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9–15; 12:20–21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6–10; 1 Peter 3:15
  • The Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen. Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37–39; Romans 12:20–21; Galatians 6:10
  • Male and Female
We believe God wonderfully and immutably creates each person biological male or female. These two distinct but complementary sexes together reflect the image and likeness of God. Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of God’s merciful design and creative order. Genesis 1:26–27; Deuteronomy 22:5; Mark 10:6; 1 Corinthians 6:9
